France is an incredibly beautiful country. Millions of Brits come over every year to spend their holidays in this exciting, warm and sunny country. There are many different ways to spend your holiday….either in a hotel, appartment, an inn or chambres – d’hôtes, cottages, gites or on a campsite.
. . .
There are of course different kinds of campsites, this site mainly consists of small and cosey sites, where you’ll find peace and quiet in a natural setting. In other words:
- Small scale camp sites;
- Quiet camp sites;
- camp sites where you can still enjoy nature, silence.
If you prefer a big camp site with all it’s amenities like disco, gambling hall, animation teams etc. you won’t find it on this site and best look elsewhere!
In the spotlights . . .
Domaine la Libaudié
The area of the Vallée du Tarn has an inexhaustible source of culture, gastronomy and history. In the Tarn region you won’t be flooded by thousands of tourists, by screaming billboards, tens of “theme” parks.
No, the Tarn Valley is a peaceful and quiet region where you can relax by walking or biking in a colourful, relaxing scenery, where you can enjoy a “Pastis” on one of the cosy terraces in little picturesque villages.
Camping Sur Yonne
Sur Yonne, a modern family company on a small scale, with Burgundian hospitality. The campsite has 10 large areas and is separate from our small hotel. In the restaurant we are serving a Burgundian menu du jour. There are plenty of hicking and cycling tracks.
Le Cheval Rouge
On a small quiet road, 1 km from the French village Prat, is our Breton holiday farm “Le Cheval Rouge” in 1880. In 2003 we have these empty farmhouse converted into 3 gites: lovely spacious holiday homes, each with its own look. On our 1 hectare site, we have also realised a spacious and natural camping.
